Both of these procedures can take 4-8 hours. Your scalp will be very delicate and you will need to take pain medications every day. You will have to wear a bandage over your scalp for several days. It usually takes 2-5 days to return to work after the procedure. The transplanted hair will fall out after 2-3 weeks and it may take up to a year to fully grow all the hair back. If you still lose hair after the procedure or want it to be thicker, you would need to get another surgery.
Bleeding and infection is a risk that may occur too. Scarring may occur and the growth may look unnatural.
